As lacrosse continues to grow in the US it is only natural for more and more lacrosse camp opportunities to be available for young athletes. Therefore, sifting through the vast array of camps and choosing the right one to fit your child's needs is crucial. As a parent you spend a lot of money for your child to learn, have fun, and be safe, the three important components of any camp.
At Lightning Lacrosse Camps we take these three components very seriously each time we organize an event. Here are some details....
Learning at the Lightning Lacrosse Camps - 20 Minute Private Sessions
Leaving our camps as a better player is our goal. Every camp consists of Pro Players, College Coaches, College All-Americans, High School Coaches, etc...
This is all well and good. BUT CAN THEY TEACH THE GAME? Our staff is hand selected in each area for their teaching abilities, not just their playing pedigrees. We select coaches who are enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and have a great temperment to work with young athletes.
We also provide each camper a 20 minute private one on one tutoring session during the week. This gives each camper an opportunity to work closely with a staff member and and get great tips to help them improve!
Having Fun at the Lightning Lacrosse Camps
Our camps are obviously geared towards teaching the game of lacrosse but we recognize that this is the summer and we all want to have fun. We therefore have many non lacrosse related activities to help the campers unwind and take their minds off of the field for a while. At many of our locations we have access to a pool, game rooms, basketball courts, work out areas, and BBQs. We will also have pizza and ice cream options at our overnight camps as well as movies and video game competitions.
Each residential camp will also feature a camp store where kids can try out and purchase the latest equipment on the market!
Oh....and be on the look out for the dunk tank, water balloons, and sumo wrestling suits!!!!
Safety at the Lightning Lacrosse Camps
Safety is our number one priority. Each camp will feature a certified athletic trainer (in some cases, we'll have two or three trainers). Each residential camp will also feature 24 hour supervision for all campers. Along with campus security, our staff stays in the dorms with the campers at all times. We will have bed check each night and take roll each morning.
As you can see we pride ourselves in teaching, having fun, and being safe.
